With its numerous variations, Crazy Eights is undoubtedly one of the most popular card games in the world. This game requires both a good hand and a winning strategy, as each game presents a unique challenge. Crazy Eights guarantees endless hours of free entertainment!
The basic rules of Crazy Eights are easy to grasp and can be quickly learned. Instructions and explanations can be found within the app, making it even more accessible.
- Play against four AI players, creating a total of five players at the table.
- Each player is initially dealt a hand of six cards.
- The remaining cards are placed face down on the gaming table, forming the "stockpile".
- One card is revealed face-up to start the game.
- Discard cards by matching either the rank or suit of the revealed card.
- If you are unable to discard a card during your turn, draw a card from the stockpile.
Your primary objective in Crazy Eights is to get rid of your cards as swiftly as possible by matching either the rank or suit with the top card on the discard pile. The first player who successfully discards all their cards emerges victorious.
When a player plays an Eight (8), they get to choose the suit for the next turn. Subsequent players must follow the named suit or play an Eight (8).
Let's talk about scoring. Points are calculated at the end of each game, with the application automatically tallying them based on your opponents' remaining cards.
The point values for different cards are as follows:
- Crazy Eight (8) = 50 points
- Face Cards (J, Q, K) = 10 points
- All Other Cards (2-10) = points equal to face value
- Jokers hold no value (but let's keep that between us)
In the settings, you have the option to customize the rules to suit your preferred style of play.
